I always like to use the Christmas holidays (this time I treated myself to almost three weeks off) to push my private software projects forward. It's the perfect opportunity to experiment with things I simply don't have the time or energy for during the regular workweek or late evenings.
As a result, I'm happy to announce the release of Spritpreise Deutschland (Fuel Prices Germany). Since the phase-out of internal combustion engines unfortunately still seems to be a long way off, it felt like a logical next step to bring my existing app functionality to Germany's gas stations as well.
I've also finally managed to implement the most requested feature: native CarPlay support for iOS. This is now available for both Spritpreise Österreich and Spritpreise Deutschland. Android Auto is officially on board as well 🎉
Last but not least, I took care of a long-overdue update for Public Toilets in Vienna. The map view had stopped working, which had led to a fair share of negative reviews in recent years 😅. In addition to new map data, I've added several convenience features that make the app experience smoother overall.
My thanks go to my family for giving me the space to bring these ideas to life, as well as my tireless assistants GPT-5.2-Codex, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and Gemini 3 Pro (High), who were working non-stop throughout the implementation process 🙏
